"This collection was culled from over 150 ravaged cassettes found in Oakland, California at the public library's Asian branch. Most of the tracks were recorded post-Pol Pot holocaust between the 1970s and 1990s in Khmer-operated studios spread throughout the geography of the diaspora-from Cambodia and Thailand to Massachusetts, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Long Beach & Stockton (California) and points inbetween. Tracks 4, 5, 8, 11, 12 and 20 were recorded in Cambodia between the mid-1960s and early 1970s. Tracks are notated where possible."
