Various ‎– Cambodian Rocks

Genre:
Style:
Year:
Notes:
Unknown to exist until recently, these recordings from the late 60s, early 70s Cambodian rock scene range from mad garageband rave-ups to mystic go-go organ/fuzz guitar, with exotic female singers. Extremely sensual and emotionally charged - you'll hear echoes of Jimi, Janis, Seeds, Them and S.F. acid.

A big hit on U.S. free-form and college radio!
Great music and lots of fun!

Repress? There must be a decent audience for a solid repress.
Anytakers?
If not, I'll consider doing it.

The track "Chnam Oun Dop-Pram Muy" by Ros Serey Sothea (Track A2 on this compilation) is one of the loveliest songs I've ever heard, and the story of her passing is so tragic and moving. Does anyone know when this track was recorded, on which record it originally appeared or anything about the circumstances of its recording?

This compilation should hear everyone who's interested in a real, pure cambodian rock.
