Gold is a fantastic slice of exiumish jungly techno with beautiful and subtle ambient pads, a real trip!

DJ Boss opens up with a short sharp shock that sets the tone of this EP: offbeat, dark, repetitive. A track that starts and stops all the time yet never breaks down with some bass stabs lurking around. Not a lot of development here, but a massive tool nonetheless.
Carlos Rios follows that path, adding some high frequency soundscapes and torn up vocals atop a percussion driven track. Definitely BMB inspired, it's still standing on it's own and standing strong.
Boyconstrictor is the one to follow the four the floor part here with a tribalish track spiced up by some post-mentasm synth. Tongue in cheek to me, as the track title implies, this is an entertaining track that when dropped at the right time can rise some attention.
All good tracks so far, the outstanding achievement is Hiroaki Iizuka's 'Gold'. A breakbeat techno track driven heavenly yet feeling light and melancholic at the same time with a beautiful melody fading in to break down and unfold a mood that is rarely found in this kind of music. A track that indeed is pure gold.
