One of the better entries in Colette's series of yearly compilations, following their usual formula of classic pop and disco, some hipster-baiting indie bands, and currently modish electronic tracks. Predictable, but not necessarily a bad thing- Branellec and Gaubert know what they're doing, and the compilation flows well from beginning to end. They do drop the ball quite badly in one area, though: Dennis Parker's "Like an Eagle" sounds like it was sourced from extremely dirty vinyl, which is odd as the track has been released digitally (on the Casablanca Records Story box set) and licensed for a compilation (Radio Slave's "Creature of the Night" mix on Eskimo) without problems. It's not unlistenable, and Joakim's fantastic mix of disco and electro on the second disc more than makes up for it, but it's still a bit baffling.
