Cosmik Chill-Red is compiled and mixed by DJ Tajmahal, a well known name withing the psy ambient genre. He gives us on this compilation exclusive tracks of some of the most famous artists in this genre. Music from Cell, Solar Fields, Master Margherita and Aes Dana. How can you go wrong?

Well, let me start my review by saying that on this compilation you will find two of the most brilliant productions by Solar Fields and Cell.

Solar Fields' Small Little Green Cubes (very cute name and perfectly suitable for the track) is a gorgeous voyage through some positive sounds. Starts dreamy, with some guitar then after the break a beautiful hook of positive melodies catches you and doesnt let you stop smiling and dancing like a small little green kid (or cube, if they can do all that stuff). Definitely one of the very best tracks of Solar Fields and it can be found only here!

Cell's track is the second top track here. Starts with a sample about how we should be peaceful and then a beautiful melody kicks in. Just when you start to float away, a trancey kick enters the game and you find yourself inn some other, heavenly place. Maybe the track can be a bit longer but it is still excellent.

The rest of the music ranges from mediocre to good. Master Margherita gives us a nice psychill piece but there is nothing very memorable in it. Just good. Aes Dana is the biggest disappointment here - his track is very uninspired and sounds like a filler. Nothing there resembles some of his acknowledged work. None of the rest is unbearable, actually, they are also quite good compared to some other compilations, but certainly not on the level of the two aforementioned tracks.

I definitely recommend getting a copy of this, only because of the Solar Fields and Cell's tracks. Tough the rest is also decent, the quality of this compilation is kept on the top because of these classy tunes. 4/5!
