"The BBC produced this strange blaxploitation-influenced movie in conjunction with United Artists in 1975. The soundtrack is equally obscure, although there were both UK and USA issues. John King wrote the script, essentially a moral tale about love being more powerful than money. Construction worker Jimmy finds a hidden stash of coins and spends all the money trying to impress his new girlfriend Mary. In true cinema fashion she still loves him when the money's gone. Try telling that to Willie Dynamite... The music is uneven funky soul in nature but the theme features strong keyboard-heavy funk and well worth a listen."
