Force Tracks/ Force Inc was everywhere in the electronic landscape in 2000/2001 but suddenly the interest in that label vanished. I remember a feature somewhere where they talked how in those offices they were fans of Aliyah, when talking about the second MRI album (one really good piece of new disco that was actually a one off), but it was their turn from glitchy dubby techno/house to house commercialism what made them banal and condemned them to oblivion. And the Digital Disco compilation is the clear milestone of that.

There are nice tracks here. There are the Håkan Lidbo tracks as Data80 that were the Discovery's Daft Punk on steroids, there are nice deep house tracks like the catchy Dub Taylor one or the Mathias Schaffhouser other, but this only served to show that those producers could make house. Ok, point taken. But it would have been nice if they were also able to make unique house, as Vladislav Delay or Libdo did.

The second Digital Disco was even worse, looking desperately for hooks. This from the guys that had albums like the ones you see up above in "Recommendations". Really sad.
