I was always frustrated at the number of boring songs on this one. There were about 4 awesome tracks on both CDs and a couple of cool ones. all in all, when it cost 15 pounds to buy, i would say it was a pretty bad waste of money, but i did listen to some of the tracks more than a dozen times. average compilation for the times. interesting bunch of music to check out.

Would anyone want to know more about electronic music and techno and ask where to start, I would immediately think of the Dream Injection compilations, especially the first four volumes (1995 to 1997) which are true gems (although the third one is a bit lesser). Tracks selection is original and varied, subtle and unsettling at the same time. Very unique material, still sounds fresh some 20 years later.

There are 6 volumes of Dream Injection and they are all great. The best retrospective of electronic music of the nineties.

Marvel at the amazing tracklisting. It is quite an amazing selection. In fact, I do not recall ever seeing so many great artists on one CD. Now realize that this is volume 1 and there are Volumes 2-5 which all have similar results. Making this 'Dream Injection' series quite possibly one of the most unrecognized and underground compilations to ever hit the shelves. This is must have material.
