Gatecrasher: Wet is the third release in the series, following 'Black' and 'Red' previously. Those two blew away their respective audiences and definitely showcased the world of trance in a very fashionable and memorable format. I personally loved both albums and thought they did well, so what do I think of the third release? It is a masterpiece! I'm not kidding here but this one perfected any issues I had with the first two and did everything right. This album is not only perhaps the fan favourite but it is commonly referred to as being one of the best albums of all time, purely for it's high quality and consistency. While my favourite 'Gatecrasher' is the following release - Disco-Tech, this one is definitely the runner up.

The first CD is outstanding! We get a nice intro with Phuture 2000's Carl Cox, and then a sensational inclusion of Finished Symphony by Hybrid, a childhood favourite which was Lost Tribe's Gamemaster, but the next track was where things start to turn very serious. The fifth track - Liquid by Nebular B is so deep and amazing that you feel as if no other song can top it, but you would be wrong. The next inclusion was Matt Darey's popular Liberation which is an excellent song and a great presentation of trance, Lustral's Everytime has a nice appearance here, Synaesthesia by The Thrillseekers is as 'Wet' as it can get, Skycraper's Hymm appears which is just pure 'perfection', Blank & Jones' Cream came after, 4G by DJ Albert, Armin's Communication and finally Silhouette's Can't Wait To Find Love. Seriously, this is just as good as it gets, so what about the mixing? Flawless. Do check this out!

The second disc is just as awesome as the first. Here we have the rest of the goodies such as Starfighter's Apache, York's The Awakening, Carla's Song by Transa, Vimana's We Came, The fantastic Everyday - Everytime by Agnelli & Nelson, I Believe by Lange which still remains one of my favourite trance songs of all time (though this version was different - but fitting and not repetitive like other albums), You Put Me In Heaven With Your Touch by Rhythm Of Life which I first heard on 'Best Club Anthems 2K' and is beautiful, Crazy Malamute's Free To Ride (U.B.I's Fat Tyre Mix) is a fast pumping tune as is Mauro Picotto's Pulsar (Picotto Tea Mix) and then my personal favourite hit - The Orange Theme by Cygnus X. Seriously, this one is also mind blowing and no trance fan should be without it.

So with all I've already said, Gatecrasher: Wet is one of the best albums of all time - that's not even questionable. Both discs perfected everything, and it just shows why trance is so underrated and excellent.
