One of my fave all-time 80's movies. The music made the film, with tracks by Adrian Belew "Big Electric Cat" (not included in the soundtrack), Fear's rendition of "Hoochie Coochie Man" and cameo appearances by Flo & Eddie (Turtles) in this great spoof of the closing of a Fillmore type theater. Watch for the in-joke in Lou Reed's cameo about Bob Dylan. Priceless.

Been collecting UK Motown albums for over thirty years and this was he last STML album I was looking for. Could not understand why this was so rare until I got it, the film was a flop at the time sales were very slow for Motown releases and the pressing plant made a big mistake. Although both sides of the label had the correct track listing both sides were written "Side Two". I can only guess that it was noticed and instead of pressing on the album was shelved hence making the STML version mega rare and a real bug bear to any UK Motown completist .

Definitely crazy movie! Many popular and some outrageous performances, make for a cult film that should've been more popular. Worth it just for the appearances of Lee Ving (Fear),Lou Reed and John Densmore (The Doors). Don't forget Malcolm McDowell's hilarious turn as Reggie Wanker! Unfortunately, the film was only released on vhs tape. No possibility of a future dvd release, but at least it can be downloaded. By the way,Malcolm sings with his real voice and it isn't bad at all.
