Agree with previous reviewer: Arrivals is a perfectly competent, compelling, and professional offering, albeit one that might not completely satisfy all tastes, but should offend none. Well, all except for a certain "Jonathan Lewis" at Allmusic, who out of one side of his mouth declares Arrivals, "...simply dance music at its very best" and out of the other rates it 1 1/2 stars, thereby assigning it the same status as such titles as "Fabulous Shit," "Macarena Madness," "Oh, No! It's Rubato: Piano Interpretations of Devo," "Wet Dreams," "If You Buy This Record (Your Life Will Be Better)," "Drew's Famous Sex Music," and any number of bootlegs, contract fillers, and outright ripoff compilations from the usual suspects.

While it may not be as strong as "Departures" and the first half of the disc lacks the continuity and vision of its second half, "Arrivals" is still an enjoyable disc. Tracks 7 through 11 are all classics in their own right, and the experience of them being struck together one after another is blissful.
