Don't let the other review put you off.

This compilation contains a lot of blistering tracks along with the usual dark horses, rare and filler tracks this series always had. Astral Projection, UX, Electric Universe, Taiyo (Prana), Miranda, Talamasca, MFG and the Green Nuns of Revolution's tracks (to mention eight groups) are anything but their leftovers. And no, I didn't forget Dimension 5. Their track here is what most agree is their best ever. The Infinity Project track is also very good; as the name suggests it's a dark and winding tune and is probably the fastest they ever recorded. Released on 12" together with Incandescence this was their last release as TIP.

Not sure how many others fancy it but I really like Sungod's Ancient Forest. With its simple, cheery melody and chant it could be played in a regular Trance set. Also check out Sunimo's track; it's much cheaper to listen their tracks on various easily accessible compilations rather than buying their overpriced album. Last but no least a mention goes to NDMA's track. Together with his track Vitan, this is another wonderful and overlooked track due to its (German) compilation exclusivity.

A flaw on this release, except the cover errors, is the recording volume on the last track of disc 2. It's much higher than the volume of the previous track(s).

I agree that everyone has different tastes but IMO this is a superior release and one of the best double CD compilations in the Goa style.

Names can be deceptive. On the cover of this comp it says Matsuri, Phantasm, Pchychic Deli, Krembo, Flying Rhino, Naja, Spirit Zone, TIP, Dragonfly, Koyote, Transient. The names of all the participating labels. Whow, it can hardly look more impressive. What's been treated us, however, must be leftovers from these labels' main dishes!

Opening track is Astral Projection's Ionized (wrongly spelt Ionised as almost everywhere else) and, needlees to say, this holds the vibe. AP themselves pick up the vibe on disc 2 with their Zero and the guys from MFG on disc 2 also are able to create somewhat of a vibe in their To Eternity. Almost everything else is between 2nd and 8th grade filler. Big names don't need to hold anything ... ;o)
