If I were to review this vinyl set in as few words as possible, I would probably say Disc 1: Interesting, Disc 2: Boring. But it'd be a bit unfair to generalise so drastically. It just depends what way you look at the release as a whole. In terms of providing DJ-friendly songs for... DJs, it does well in dishing out a handful of progressive floorfillers. However, from a listening standpoint, it could've done with a bit more variety. The double-vinyl set is weighted heavilly towards progressive tracks, with A1, A2 and D2 being the only definite vocal uplifters present.

There are some decent tracks among the selection. The unfortunately rare (at least in full) A2 track is a gorgeous and somewhat melancholic Beach House track, married both seductively and affectionately with its lyrics. The A side is by far the best side of the whole pack. On the other hand, the notable progressive instrumentals are Max & Brian's "4AM Duel" and the equally funky Bryan Jones' "Chicago Jack".

It's hard to say whether you should get it or not since even the ratings show that it divides opinion. But my advice would be to check out the tracks before making your decision.
