I remember when this one came out. I was working in a record shop and someone came in with a copy that he'd just bought in a clothes shop down the road. Strange, I thought. Why didn't whoever it was selling them come into our shop?
Bit shady perhaps. Or deliberately elusive.
Anyway - the clothes shop had a bunch of them so we all got copies.
Some of the tracks are much comped by now but the collection still persuades with it's hit and miss approach - but more hit than miss I'm happy to say.
Kicking off with The Ricketts' Action Painting which sounds too good to be true with its wild, feedback-ridden fire.

Tip: get hold of this book: Sonic Antiquarian by Thee Rockhunter for a great review of this record. The whole book is good, you can get it for a fiver online.
