Killer 12", worth it alone for Jazzman. An incredibly deep rework of the brilliant Lil Louis 1992 track. Very tastefully edited, extended intro, slight re-arrangement of the build-up and less sax, more tribal beats as the track drops. 5/5

"Listen Here" is actually: "Listen Here" by: Brian Auger & The Trinity off of the "Befour" album on the RCA label 1970.

Jazzman is actually by Li'l Louis - was relevant in 1992, still relevant now. Apparently, the only proper release of Jazzman was on the CD version of Journey With the Lonely album, making this 12" worth having it just to have the cut on vinyl. As Li'l Louis states on the actual LP notes, "I didn't write this album 4 fame, I didn't write this 4 fortune, I didn't write this 4 popularity, I wrote this 4 U," you can hear these sentiments come through on Jazzman's heartfelt synth string sections.

Louis, thank you.
