This used to be my favourite jungle techno mixtape, proper deep and dark side stuff here. The tape eventually got knackered and so I moved on to the unmixed CD which is fairly well mastered.

What a brilliant compilation this is...consisting of mostly exclusive cuts, this album was an early and brilliant collection of ragga/reggae influenced tunes from well known producers such as A-Sides, Noize Factory, Uncle 22, and so on -- and even a mix of it all on the last vinyl side, very on point! Complex and intricate drumwork is found throughout the tunes here, as well as wicked sub/dub basslines. A must for any early jungle fan. It's only a shame that the final mastering wasn't done well, resulting in rather flat dynamics and low volume.
