Giorgio Moroder's version of Metropolis, A Fritz Lang movie from 1926, was released in 1984 with a new soundtrack. Back then, the original classical score was considered lost (it was discovered not too long ago). Nice Techno pop remix of "Love Kills" by Freddie Mercury (very ahead of it's time it seems). Pat Benatar's version of "Here's My Heart" is different here from the one we hear in the movie, unfortunately. Same thing with "Machines", offered here in a cheap keyboard version (however, it stills sometimes play as the background music for the intro of some NHL Hockey games). I always wondered why Moroder didn't release the actual score of the movie, with a lot of instrumental electronic music and sound effects. It doesn't remove any credit to this album (which is quite good melodically), but I feel it's incomplete in a way.
