Just posting a review in order to disagree with Mr. Tibbs. This is a solid album for fans of 'golden era' hip hop, providing some much- needed depth to the Mood duo's discography and showcasing some lesser- known MCs who do a great job. Clean production of simple sample-based beats in the best East coast tradition and limited choruses characterize the work. In my opinion the downside of "Prehistoric Sounds" is that the artists grapple with battling and cash-grabbing aspects (Millionaires, Go For Broke) of the music industry more often than they explore the more esoteric and occult topics that Mood was willing to tackle on their debut album.

this album gets 4 out of 5 strictly for having Transmorgify on there. That track is incredible. Rest of the album is very mediocre, aside from maybe one or two other songs that May be decent at best. TranSmorgify is just an amazing Cut that turns this 1 out of 5 dollar bin album into a strong 4 out of 5 and must own record.
