It sounds as if either they didn't get a hold of good quality masters or that they didnt know how to properly master them for vinyl themselves. Could be both even. I feel it lacks definition. It's just kinda boomy and somewhat brittle. Have heard worse but this is fairly mediocre. The presentation is really nice in general, i was excited as i thought that if they splitted all these tracks into 2 discs it could mean that they knew what they were doing, but they just fell short. The weird part is that it feels somewhat inconsistent, some songs sound better than others so it is possible that the tracks handled to the master engineer were not consistent in quality as well. Since it was Stephen Marcussen who mastered this i would be willing to think that the masters he was handed are at fault.
