One Step Up/Two Steps Back is a tribute to Bruce Springsteen, one of the largest and most frequently covered songwriters of the American rock music. On this album features 28 of his compositions (of which there are 10 never before by The Boss himself, were released), which with much love and respect are performed by well-known and less well-known artists. Some big names on this very nicely packaged double cd are: John Hiatt (Johnny 99), Joe Cocker (Human Touch), David Bowie (it's Hard To Be A Saint In The City) and Nils Lofgren (Wreck On The Highway). A little get left out the specially written for Donna Summer disco number Protection.
