Great project and collection full versions etc BUT
who ever mastered and cut this (Pressed by CBS Aylesbury so no doubt enginners at CBS's Whitfield Studios) due to the audio constraints the groove spiral is very tight the cut thus very quiet, the sonics flat!

There is no oomph and depth or snap! that the original UK Philips/Phonogram mastering and pressing done for Polydor (UK licencess for Chelsea originals ) as 7" IEPs or 12" albums. These tracks pressed herenare lack lutstre dull quiet with no crisp top or brightness.

State Of Art should have had this project mastered and cut as the originals were and spread the 16 tracks 4 per side on X 2 vinyls. Total waste of time and effort sonically what you have here. Why compromise for cheapness it makes no sense at all and can be heard in these dull and quiet grooves. That just do not sound right or bright worst is Get Dancin' muddy mush thought I had a Duophonic track on in error.

Best option is to buy the original Polydor-Chelsea full colour paper label albums and or those lovely Avco & Charisma lilac painted 7" IEPS (Intergral, Embossed & Painted) automated cheap non labour intensive pressings from Phonogram in plain white cheapo rear wavey top die-cut sleeves. Never ever and not a Phonogram black and red on white company sleeve used or in sight!.

They are all sadly sonically far superior than this "My chiffon is wet darling, my chiffon is wet!
