This is a great DVD of mostly excellent videos by a fairly good spread of artists. As complete audio-visual experiences, standouts for me include Photek's Ni Ten Ichi Ryu in which the complex rhythms of the track are reflected in the visuals, culminating in a samurai sword fight (The title means "Two Swords Technique"; Reprazent's Brown Paper Bag with it's quirky forward/back editing; and the subtly weird Underworld clip, but there is little on here to disappoint (The gaudy Jacknife Lee clip being a possible exception).
At the time of its release compilation DVDs were virtually unknown, and with the exception of the later "Works of" series from Palm Pictures, they are still few and far between. I mean, MTV released an "AMP" compilation, and it was only available on CD! What was that about!?
So why has there never been a followup, there must be masses of video clips from the last 10 years that have never seen the light of day beyond the industry or possibly as a low-res version on an enhanced CD single. Come on Palm!
