Although most tunes contain an edit of some sort, namely with repeating certain sections or verses of a given track. The transitions between the tracks on side A are some of the best in my opinion. I don't particularly listen to this volume as much as some of the others anymore. However I still think it's one of the best of the early more 'electro' volumes and still holds a special place up there.

It's probably one of the most eclectic comps of the series actually, both in terms of the tempo and the style. Electro-Jazz-Funk, Proto Electro Techno, Electro-Funk, Hardcore Hip Hop Rap (with Run DMC), a proper raw Electro Rap throwdown with Pumpkin And The Profile All Stars which was a massive breakdance anthem. Early mash-up style with D-ST's/Laswell's/Hancock's Mega Mix which includes everything including the kitchen sink which was also another breakdance anthem. Lots of various artists and diverse labels.

Highlight for me is the haunting electro ballad Techno City by Cybotron. Medium paced builder with sublime melody and lyrics.
Apart from that the quality was slightly dipping for me at this point with a few superfluous tracks... but still essential of course (especially if you were into collecting the set like bubblegum cards).

I understand the "DJ Morris" credited here is Maurice Watson.
