3 words: Very nice compilation!

It starts off with Praxis' "Wake The Dead" which sounds like a celtic rock ballad.
It's followed by "Warm Time Machine / Low End Transmission / Over The Foaming Deep" - a heavy bass and saturated sound with experimental noises, clicks and glitches, we are now entering the dub part of "Subharmonic In Dub", the track has a nostalgia or melancholia to it that I really love, it brings me to a personal place.
It runs into the third song "Asiyah Dub" which has more an Indian feel. This song is a Bill Laswell classic !
Now I have to say, I'm not a big fan of most Praxis and Painkiller songs on the first CD but I prefer Divination and Automaton so the second CD is more up my alley.

"Astral Altar" is a dark and gritty dub while "Dead Drop" is light and ethereal with notes of balearic synth in it, the bass guitar rhythm is infectious. Breaks and jungle breaks are ripping through "illuminoid Assassin" while "Transfer Complete" rejoins the cool ambient soundscapes that Bill Laswell & Terre Thaemlitz have sewn together. Back to dub with "The Terran Invasion of Alpha Centaurai Year 2794" to conclude with "Maggot Dream" reminescent of the guitar works from the first CD with a little bit more blues and less rock. Most songs are mixed on both CDs by the way.
