"Kohoutek-Kometenmelodie" here is actually a unique version of "Kohoutek-Kometenmelodie (Version 2)". It's slightly longer than on the 7" (despite the fact it quotes the same track length), and this LP is quite affordable at the time of writing, making it a worthwhile purchase for Kraftwerk collectors. Even if the rest of the LP is hardly the pinnacle of musical achievement (although the Genesis tracks are ok, and Status Quo's "Down Down" always was a guilty pleasure). It maybe a good gift for your Dad, though ;)

The other 2 tracks are perhaps for only for the most anal of collectors, though (don't worry, I border on this when it comes to Kraftwerk, so it's not a criticism) - "Ruckzuck" is here in a unique edit (although this is just an early fade of the album version just before the 'jam' part of the song starts) and the US/German 7" edit of "Autobahn" is here in 12" form.

Unfortunately, though, the sound quality of the latter is not, as you might think, better than on 7" copies - it's on the innermost band of Side A and therefore just as susceptible to Inner Groove Distortion. Plus, it sounds oddly constricted, as if some over-effusive DR compression not present on the 7" has been applied to the track.
