Torsk and 2am Express possess a rare quality I search for in the tracks I play. They have that "journey" feel that takes hold of a special moment in your set. Tough as hell, relentless and unique in the era of faceless, pounding grooves, these two stand out. The production is clean and crisp and they are fun mix. I don't purchase or play much vinyl these days, but this ep always comes along when I do.

This has always been one of my favourite records from the golden era of Swedish techno -a record that I bought doubles of, just in case! Very well produced kicks, with heavy sub-bass and deeper, atmospheric elements that many of the loopier, more sterile releases of the era lack (good call johnnyx). Personally the cuts 2 AM Express and Torsk always got the most play.

The Fugitive is easily my favorite on this one. A ridiculous rolling bass line and stabs make me want to rip my spine out and play the vertebrae like a guitar. The minimal swirling atmospheric elements work amazingly well to add just the right amount of depth to the sinister appeal this track will easily have over any dance floor. Top notch destruction.

Torsk is the key to this record, having an American Indian acoustic aura, made up of tribal drum rhythms and haunting female chanting. Also includes an interesting sample !
