Released in 1983 I still have the original master as well as 2 copies. We made a run of only 100 and sold them for £2. The next two tapes, with the original titles Deadbeat 2 & 3 came out in 1984 and 1985. Reviews are on the deadbeatfanzine website. I thought all the bands deserved to be heard and this format worked well for them all. I gave copies to London A & R folk who were always on the look out but mostly the bands got gigs from the extra publicity and that was the main thing.
