Not a bad comp... not one of my favourites, but there's plenty of great stuff to keep my interest.

Unusually for a HC compilation, the UK bands are, in my opinion, the best: the bonus 12" is all North American, and doesn't really do that much for me. It's OK, but nothing special - unless you are a fan of any of the bands on it (I'm not), in which case, you may disagree.

Ripcord are probably the best band on here - I even prefer their version of "Boiling Point" to SSD's original. Mind you, I never really liked Springa's voice, which also helps. This version doesn't really add much to the original, but it's pretty brutal and has better vocals (although the latter isn't really saying much in hardcore, is it ;) ).

I heard from members of a lot of these bands, they were fans of YOUTH KORPS.
