Wicked LP on the legendary Suburban Base label! For me, it's all about "Funky Dope Track" by QBass! <3

"I love the breakbeat, samples and the pause with the drop in "Funky dope track" but the only thing i hate and which is restraining me from buying this one is that ear-piercing screaming for the first half of the tracks, i can't see why q-bass thought that would be a good idea.

Ridiculously top notch 4 tracker plate, with at least 3 out of 4 stormy tracks, ''Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era - Style Warz'', ''DJ Hype - The Chopper'', and ''Run Tings - Look No Further'' stand as what best could have ever done from those artists and from this label. ''QBass Funky Dope Track'' is the only less brilliant compared to the other 3, but still a great track . A really gold release not only for the hardcore jungle heads, but for everyone who can respect the quality electronic music. This is my second favourite release of Suburban Base after the phenomenal ''Krome & Time ‎– This Sound Is For The Underground / Manic Stampede'', and for sure the best EP from the label.

Both "QBass - Funky Dope Track" and "Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era - Style Warz" feel very much like there coming from UK hip-hop roots....complete with bells and Jack the Ripper Big Shmoke ambience...this ere' is a must!

Unreal 4-track ep from the Subase stables. The killer for me on this one is Style Warz from Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era which has amazing production values for the time as with a lot of stuff on this label, it was groundbreaking.

QBass provide the killer on here but all 4 tracks are as Pilsen says, raw and uncut, some would even say 'ripe'. If you can pick this up for £15-£20 for a VG then you've done well. I picked up an Ex copy for £15 in London's Berwick Street, a true bargain.

Pure, raw, uncut hardcore breakbeat Jungle. The sound of the record is very dated, which adds to its importance as one of the most influential records in Drum n Bass history.
