The Fu Manchu song is truly awesome, a cowbell lover's paradise of groovy stoner rock / R&B. Blindfold anyone and tell him / her this song was recorded in 1973 and you would get no protests. Normally I loathe this kind of genre recreation, but this cut simply destroys. (RIYL: Nudeswirl, Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Mindfunk.) The other trax are pretty weak. Got this in a used issue of Thora-Zine at the late great Underground Sounds NOLA in '97.
