When the two original volumes of Transworld Punk came out in the mid 80s they caused a revolution in thinking 'round my way. We were used to the Pebbles/BFTG axis of crude US garage punk....and the Perfumed Garden/Rubble type UK stuff. What we were unprepared for was the avalanche of European tracks that these albums precipitated. Hard to believe at the time but a lot of the Dutch, German and Swedish bands were even harder and more far-out than their US and UK brothers.

Lots of sublime stuff on these two comps, it's tuff to pick out individual tracks - it's all good.
