Information from composer Harry Crowl: This recording was made in Los Angeles in 1944, Werner Janssen Orchestra under the baton of the composer Villa-Lobos. It is a live recording and was pressed into disks of 24 (?) Inches for dissemination through the American diplomatic service as part of the war effort to co-opt Brazil. These huge size records were the first 33rpm.
