Just picked up a beautiful sounding Rhino 2003 reissue, absolutely one of the better Rhino reissues from the early 2000"s.

I bought this for 16 bucks new. Why the hell is it selling for so much?

The is vinyl is dead silent. The problem is the mastering is horrible. The snare doesn't sound like a snare. And 90% of the drums are snare. Just an awful mastering. I've compared it to both the 1984 repress and the 1987 CD. The CD sound better than this mess. This is an album that is supposed to make you get up and dance. This pressing doesn't do that. The CD does. The 1984 press does it even more. It's not just the snare, it's everything. The vocals are flat. The xylophone lacks tone. Stay away from this thing. 3 stars for 5 star album.

Bad pressing. i have a lot of crackle and pop. I try it with two copies. After of this i prefer to buy a original vinyl.

This reissue is awesome. The snap of Ritchie's bass, Gano's guitar and the vocals! Wow, you've never heard this album until you get this version.

This is a beautiful pressing. Its one of the best sounding records that I've bought new as of late. The bass is so distinct. I'm having no pops, crackles or the like and its amazing. I would recommend this pressing a hundred times over.

I just picked up this pressing as well. Found it had a lot of crackle and pop as well as recurring scratchy sound. I cleaned the record and visually inspected it. It seems visually fine, but it sounds rough in spots, especially "Blister in the sun". I am going to play it s few times to see if the issue clears up, if not I may return it and try my luck with a different copy. If I ignore periodic crackle and pop, this is a good sounding album.

Beautiful sounding pressing, bass really sticks out.
I don't have anything but the CD to compare to, but I can say that the vinyl is better.
