Whats the deal with this song/release? It is claimed/stated that it is actually "Central Pro. NYC" that features on Northern Exposure 2 so why does everyone refer to Burn The Elastic as being on NE2 when it is not? Cheers

A lost breakbeat classic that would probably be the defining track if you played it between 3 and 4 AM at any vintage mid 90's party. Stripped down, minimal, deep, dark, with an esoteric vocal sample that almost makes sense (is it "just move your feet?" -- I've never been able to totally tell.)

Beat archaeologists would be best served digging this one up as it would undoubtedly mix well in a more modern set and is screaming for a modern re-edit.

One of my favorite breaks tracks ever lives on this 10" slab of black Sm:)e vinyl. Rare and sought after, mostly due to the the original mix's use on Northern Exposure and other comps of its day.

The Mantronix remix on the flip is ok, but it's really completely overshadowed by the original mix.

If you can find it, it's worth the money. Minimal breaks meets screwed up bare-bones vocal samples with a bassline guaranteed to ignite any dancefloor. Essential.
