Fade to Grey!! One of my favorites from this era. Ahead of it's time.

'We Move' and 'Fade to Grey' are classic releases. But it is the killer track 'Frequency 7 (Dance Mix)' that proves to be
the standout track on this ÚS 12" released in 1980. Very similar to later electro, early Detroit. Is Li'l Louis 'Frequency' of 1987 a tribute?

On the B-side that little Remix-EP was released the one and only authentical "extended" version of "Fade To Grey" (6:44).

Strangewise was on the actual 12'' a merely self-repeating Single-Edit (one cut only!). Impudently advertised as "Special Maxi Version" it may remains as the most disappointing Maxi-Version ever.
I don't know, what was the crucial factor that decided the company. Probably nobody suspected "Fade To Grey" will stay as one of the most remarkable singles of Pop-Music. Listening the record made probably every customer angry (or just speechless?). It might be a kind of excuse to release that Remix-EP for small money with three dance mixes and another two songs from the Longplay.
