Supraphon Release Information

The first four Mišík albums backed by Etc..., with a newly remastered sound and exclusive packaging!

There is no doubt whatsoever that this music is amongst the most seminal in the entire Czech rock era. A superlative vocalist, outstanding musicians, consistent choice of top-class lyricists for their own songs, frenetic audience responses at concerts… All this still holds true today. Every Czech rock fan knows the songs Stříhali dohola malého chlapečka, Jednohubky, Proč ta růže uvadá, Nejlepší ženská našich dnů, Taxůvku jsme chytli, Variace na renesanční téma, Malá paní, Vanda and Žanda, and Doteky. The now legendary albums have been sensitively remastered from the original tapes and supplemented by singles and other bonus tracks. The fourth CD also contains English versions of Mišík’s songs, titled They Cut Off The Little Boy’s Hair.

The special folding DVD-format box (graphic design by Karel Haloun and Luděk Kubík) is truly original. It contains all the albums, complete documentation, a recent interview with Vladimír Mišík by the music critic Ondřej Bezr, plus a set of selected lyrics and photographs.

Classic rock in cultivated sound in an elegant box!
