Excellent album; mediocre pressing though. If you're buying this, I'd recommend sticking with either the CD or digital release. The vinyl pressing clips/distorts very noticeably during pretty much every song except maybe "Flying Golem". Seems like more of a mastering oversight than bad quality vinyl or something. The digital versions don't seem to have this issue (or at least not nearly as prominently).

Such a great album. Essential for fans of Pond, Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall etc.

Psychrock, Garage, Folk, fuzzed out noise, space synths, catchy (even a bit poppy) riffs, this album has it all. Think Pond, Tame Impala or labelfather and fuzz-guru Ty Segall. While the songs and vibes are fun to enjoy and hard to forget and feel both vintage and new at the same time, the sound quality of this pressing is not the best, to be clear and honest. this music certainly has to be played loud but, as i often think, it's better to leave this choice up to the one who puts it on his turntable. this record has been mixed so dense and loud, it destroys quite a lot for me. there are almost no pauses between the songs (counted one, two with bold imagination) and there's clipping all over the place. the sharp vocal tones and the high synth leads come out way too harsh.
all in all, it's a very nice album if you look at the ideas, riffs and different genres that wand managed to at least slightly touch while rushing past them. regarding the quality of the sound, it's a bit disappointing. music like this, respectfully mixed with proper dynamics, that's the real deal.
