This was the long awaited follow up to "Murder by Decibels". Fed up with recording in L.A., Warchylde returned to their home state of Ohio. "We Came to Rock You" was recorded in Painesville, Ohio, at Suma Recording Studio. Drum tracks were recorded, and completed by Michael Whitney. Michael left the band before the album was finished, and was replaced by Dave "Woody" Stone, who would be listed as the bands current drummer in the inlay of the tape, and go with them on the ensuing US tour. This release contains a cover version of Bachman-Turner Overdrive's (also performed by Grand Funk Railroad) "Not Fragile". The release of "We Came to Rock You" was followed by a 350-day tour with shows in states from Michigan to Florida.
