Hesperian Sound Division releases are well produced and unique, but Wasserfall’s HESP005 has to be the best of them. There is a modern, free form feel to the EP, but it has a nostalgic sound as well. Imagine an unreleased Guidance Recordings project surfacing in 2019 and you’ll end up with HESP005. All tracks on this album can move an open minded dance floor, but A1 “Stiv Heks” along with B2 “Gravlaks” will definitely stand out. “Gravlaks” has a shared Chicago/Detroit Deep House feel that fits into an early evening DJ set, while “Stiv Heks” features organic, polyrhythmic percussion that lives in open spaces, warm weather and ocean waves. Hesperian Sound Division takes advantage of the vinyl format by designing a tasteful, well packaged label/sleeve aesthetic adding appeal to this release. Wasserfall and Hesperian Sound Division put together a wonderful, essential release.

Gravlaks is one of the best tunes i've heard all fucking year. The details in the song are insane. I'm trying to describe the track, but I just can't. It's too fucking good. Hats off, Wasserfall. Hats off.

Uhm ....no comments on Gravlaks ? i know its all a matter of taste, and my taste leans towards the Gravlaks Track hiding on the B2 Side .
Such a solid "' under the radar "' Tune for a few bucks !

Beautiful record, particularly enjoy the shuffle and ebb of Twilight - keep coming back to it.
