This vinyl has a huge sound to it. The instructions in the song are "Turn this MuthaF**ker Up!" - and that's pretty damn compulsory here. With a funky pumping bassline and a twinkly top-line, swirling acidic thrusting all bubbling away in the mix, it is a track of many different elements and hard to pigeon-hole. Breaks? Progressive? Big-Beat? Trance? What is it? I don't know, but I like it. Due to the swearing, it is not really one to be playing in front of any children or elderly parents though!

A massive track. I wish Way Out West would make a few more like this! A real peak-time dance floor filler. I'd call this more funky edged house than progressive, but that's just splitting hairs. Either mix would fit into many a different genre of DJ set.

"Muthaf***ka" marks the return of Nick and Jody as Way Out West. This track was originally slated to be featured on Nicks last GU mix, but was removed and is now finally available to us. "Muthaf***ka" is a typical W.O.W. production with a funky, james brown-esque twist. Mix One is a larger big room track, brimming with a funky bass line and cheeky vocal samples. Flip for Mix Two, the dub-ier mix, that tones the big room element down and replaces it with a slappy, electric guitar hook. Interesting stuff with this one, which will make it a track that will grow on you.
