Sleeve notes taken from Soundcloud page:
The career arc of Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids has been an unexpected but wonderful one. The band met in Ohio in the early 1970s, studied with jazz greats including Cecil Taylor, performed throughout Europe and Africa and released three independent albums before disbanding during the late '70s.
Here, DJ duo We Are The Horsemen (DJ Harv and Sub-One) take us through the original rare recordings which earned the band its reputation among connoisseurs of mind expanding jazz. The one-hour mix spans the band's entire career.
