Not a bad album from Whitechapel, just a terrible pressing job here. I was very pleased to find that my sealed copy of this came in a nice static free inner sleeve, as I wish all new albums would these days. Unfortunately I immediately noticed that the disc was covered in a film of some sort of while cleaning it. It is very noticeable in the runout; where it should look glossy and shiny, it looks matte and uneven. I can take my finger and rub a spot clean, but not easily. A wet clean seems to have done nothing. So yeah, they really screwed this up in the plant. The record sounds like crap. The surface noise is incredibly loud and the mastering is way low. It could be this film of whatever that is on it. I would stay away from this one and stick to the digital version of the album.
