This recording produced by Pete Townshend for their fisrt Reaction release the following month, hails from the session on 12 February 1966 at Olympic Sound Studios and differs from later versions as it has an acoustic guitar in the intro, the instrumental break comes after the second set of verses, has minimal drums and louder bass; US editions have replaced the "my dad was black" line.
