Wild Billy Childish is back with his new band ‘The Musicians Of The British
Empire’ are about to release their debut album ‘Punk Rock At The British Legion Hall’

This is a limited edition 7” taken from the album with ‘Snack Crack’ on the A side and
an exclusive B side ‘Elvis Presley Is Dead’ which tells the story of how Billy heard
about Elvis being dead from Mark E Smith onstage at the Vortex club in London.

This 7” will be available on three colours (500 of each) Grey, Clear and Half Grey Half
White.

Most probably it is not Mark E. Smith being mentioned in the lyrics to 'Elvis Presley Is Dead'. A close listen might lead one to believe the reference is to Mark Perry, founder and editor of Sniffin' Glue punk magazine. For your curiosity: https://www.discogs.com/artist/124281-Mark-Perry.
