Notes

"This music is dedicated to the memory of those who perished as a result of the atrocities of September 11th, 2001, and to my dear Uncle Shelley."

"In loving memory of Suzanne Fiol"

Limited-edition box set of 2000 copies containing all four historic volumes of The Disintegration Loops, plus a pair of live orchestral performances from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the 54th Venice Biennale, both previously unreleased, issued to mark the 10-year anniversary of the original release and its induction into the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

All tracks are remastered from the original recordings and pressed onto 100% virgin vinyl for the first time. This set also includes all of the remastered recordings on 5 CDs, the rare 63-minute The Disintegration Loops film on DVD, and a 144-page full-color coffee table book featuring rare photos taken during the making of The Disintegration Loops, and liner notes.

A portion of proceeds from the sales of this set will be donated to the 9/11 Memorial.

There is a misprint on CD1: dlp 2.1 is incorrectly listed as dlp 3 on the disc.

I'm honestly thinking they'll probably repress when we get towards the 20th anniversary. I'm sure we'll see a repress in the next two years.

This is probably my favourite piece of music, a transcendental masterpiece. The live versions are particularly good and worth checking out.

Just a minor, first-world problem comment: I recently accessed the included CDs to continue ripping them, after all these years. I had only played the vinyl until now. Fudge, the dreaded, primitive design of tight-fitting, semi-circle pouches to hold the CDs; all of my discs have light scratches. Pressing plant worker and/or rough postal transit to blame

There's gotta be a better design for manufacturers to include CDs in LP packages, no? How 'bout first slipping the discs in those white, fuzzy, lense-friendly/scratchless CD sleeves that sometimes come in some of the Japanese market CDs, before inserting them into the gatefold's pouches? Surely, that would be better than just shoving them naked into cardboard eye-slits. Seriously, fudge!
