To my ear this is a pretty interesting album, and certainly a far cry from other Wink works like Hearhear, for example, which is a lot more raw, and features much less "mood music." This album is conceptual in nature (and tongue-in-cheek in a lot of ways), with the main tracks linked by an assortment of short, non-musical interludes. I kind of wish he'd left most of them out, just because for me they tend to ruin the flow of the album (especially the spoken-word stuff), but regardless the record is well-paced. Musically, it ranges from ambient techno/breaks to Wink's trademark acid, and having tracks like "Hypnotizin'" (an old favourite of mine) and "Higher State of Conciousness" on it makes it even more worthwhile.

Bought this CD about this track: "Higher State Of Consciousness (Original Tweekin' Acid Funk Mix". Cause it's (one of) Wink's most famous track(s). And it's by far my most favorite track. I did give all other tracks any change and I am happy to have it in my collection, but when this track was not on this album , I surely doubt about buying. Don't Laugh is nice too and luckily it is on this album too, but "Higher State Of Consciousness (Original Tweekin' Acid Funk Mix" still is my fav. :)
