Dear all , the we here forward Manlio Cangelli's words regarding the re-releases of his works hoping that this will clear up things.

the Dear Messers,
I am Manlio Cangelli and MC Harmony is my company since 2000.

I am the composer and producer of some italian Disco ’80 songs: Penguin invasion by
Scotch, Orient express by Wish Key, I wanna fly away by Blue Russell (my wife…), Over and
over by Jerry Moon, New Dream by Clay Pedrini, and some others.
During the years I made my own company, MC Harmony, which is a Publishing company,
recording studios and label, with a big music catalogue on the digital market.
Because of my position in the music business, I’ve been encharged by some friend to
manage their songs: Clay Pedrini signed many years ago a agreement with MC Harmony
about his song NEW DREAM, written and arranged by me but entirely produced by himself,
and the producer of BRAND IMAGE and SOME BIZARRE, Marino Scarabelli, signed a
similar agreement with my company.
!
I’m writing this letter because it happened a very bad story, in this last period: some
month ago I’ve been contacted by an american company asking me the license to reprint
my old songs, wrote and produced by myself and distributed by the italian distributors of
that time.
I didn’t close any commercial agreement with this USA company, because in the meantime
I’ve been contacted by a italian distributor, Electronix Network, asking my songs for their
label LA DISCOTECA. I decided to give my songs to a italian distributor only for
nationalism: I thought it would be more logical to distribute our old Italian Disco song
through a italian distributor. I personally remastered the songs in my big studio, where I
have tape recorders 24 trks and master stereo tapes too.
It happened that this company anyway realized their vinyls and now I know that they are
proposing, selling, shipping, distributing these records… but without any permission of
mine: I asked them to stop this distribution, waiting for our Italian production, but they are
going ahead anyway.
These records coming from USA are NOT the official ones, authorized by me, and this
compelled me to contact a lawyer, encharging him to better protect my work: I already send
CEASE AND DESIST letters signed by me, but they ignore them. This the situation, on
Monday the lawyer studio will send a official request to immediately stop this distribution,
causing deep desease in our marketing plan.
I’m absolutely not happy to write this, but this is the situation….

What a tune, never heard this until recently, they really are some undiscovered gems going under the Italo Disco banner. Totally agree with Magic00, this track defines all that is great about the genre. Super camp rolling bassline mix with garishly bright riffs and stabs, completely naff yet completely compelling. However whats especially excellent here is the double tracked male/female vocal - Wicked, Wicked, Wicked! The sleeve Artwork is top too of course, check it out!

"Orient Express" by Wish Key is phenomenal in all ways. Watch the video and see the cordless synthesizer drop all the zig zagged lines to this song. How's that possible? And then you realize that Italo Disco is magic! And with the crowd cheering on and the background video playing, you know that this is Italo Disco music at its best. Discomagic was the biggest label and this here is one of its biggest releases of all. The 12" cover art shows that train shuffling thru the Orient. Hot cover art indeed! Hot beats! And a song that combines male/female vocals perfectly - I love this song and you know you do too!

One of the best italo-tracks i've ever heard. Great melody and excellent male vocals combined with a smashing beat. This is perfect listening to while you'r on a train! Classic. 5/5

A fantastic disco song, with an excellent melody and great lyrics. The different voices and synth melodies throughout the whole song works out great and makes this song one of the true disco classics. Together with "Last Summer", Wish Key's best song in their carriere.
