Circulating on several DJs' sets from late 1991. Personally prefer this from their eternally overplayed, mega anthem Baptized By Dub by a long way. Although the B-side 'Virtual Reality' of that first issue is very underrated 'techno / hardcore' in its own right. This release is a good mixture of mellow house and breakbeat hardcore.

The title of track A1 is a refernce to all the sampling and re-sampling that was going on in the rave scene at the time. The subtitle "Last word from the Landlord" is an ironic reference to the over-use of the Synth-Piano riff from LAndlord(2) "I Like It", which of course appears in the track!

track AA2 is indeed an alternate take of AA1 as per the promo, but the title is another joke - this time the KLF's "Last Train To Trancentral" forms the basis.

If you don't recognise it, that dark little chugging bassline that comes in at the intro and underpins most of the A1 track is from Abba - Does Your Mother Know. The spoken sample "No I don;t want you to panic, just lean back and relax" is shared with Autechre "Cavity Job", and judgung by the relative sound quality, sampled from there, though that is not certain.
