As a movie actor he has been seen in "Is Paris Burning?"..."Lawrence of Arabia"...and the newly released "Hello Dolly" with Barbara Streisand. As a singerhis voice has carried him around the world: Paris' "Bobino Music Hall," "The Sheraton" in Tel Aviv, "Casino Listorile" in Lisbon, New York's "Tel Aviv," "Feenjon," and "Darvish" clubs...His performances have been televised by the BBC in England, France's Television-Francaise O.R.T.F., and NBC in America. His recordings are on Israeli European and USA labels. He was born in Israel, and his qualities as a "Sabrah" are blended with the Jewish-French-North African cultural mix of his Moroccan parents. He is a modern-day Gypsy who accompanies himself on the recently developed electronic-accordion. But his music retains the spirit of the Gypsies of old: zestful and melancholy; a mixture of pathos and joy; and always filled with an explosive life-force. He is a one-man U.N. whose warmth and charm have brought the "universal language" of music to audiences everywhere.
