fond memories of grooving out to the MAW mix being played by Louie at Dance Ritual over multiple weeks during the summer of '99.. the harmonica is my fave accent out of this cut.

This is wonderful. The sort of track that you never want to end. Heard it on a Larry Heard mix tape, and went to the ends of the earth to secure myself a copy. Great. Must be the MAW mix though - the others are weak...

This Masters At Work remix of Yasushi Ide's Plein Soleil first attracted me to the great collective of Bossa Tres...Jazz (the compilation and remix album are both seriously worth investing in). However, this remains the pinnacle of Bossa Tres for me, and MAW bring it on in typically deep stylees. Whilst the Nuyorican SOul mix may get more attention for its broken beats, the tradiotional housey doingz of the MAW mix takes it for me. Lush, rising chords provide the backdrop for the tightrope raised between funk and beauty...Buy it and enjoy.
